Moderator-Designate of the General Assembly: Jim Wallace, the Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness, has been nominated as the next Moderator of the General Assembly. Lord Wallace, an elder at St Magnus’ Cathedral, Orkney, is a former Deputy First Minister of the Scottish Parliament, and a former leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats. He is only the third elder Moderator in our history.

Moderator of Edinburgh Presbytery: It has been announced that our Minister will be the next Moderator of the Presbytery of Edinburgh. The Presbytery is the regional part of the Church of Scotland to which our congregation belongs. The period of office is from February 2021 to February 2022.
