Ending of Lockdown restrictions
The Church of Scotland and the Scottish Government have removed all lockdown restrictions. The Kirk Session has agreed that the following changes will take place from Sunday 30th The booster jab programme is being rolled out over the next weeks, but we want to stress that Covid is still around so good hygiene and other sensible practices should continue. The Kirk Session will continue to monitor the situation.
- We will continue with the full printed order of services. These have been well received by the congregation.
- Hymnbooks will be returned to all rows in the church but not in all seats.
- There will be no large-scale return of Bibles as the weekly Bible readings are in the order of service.
- Orders of Service will be handed out at the door by the duty team as before.
- We will resume taking the offering during the service, but the elders/Sunday Club children will move along the rows with the plates.
- We will resume having six chairs at a table for coffees and all other social events.
- The kitchen will be accessible to all groups who have had appropriate hygiene training. All crockery must be cleaned in the dishwashers.
- Communion will continue in the format adopted for June and October, with the elements being offered by elders as they pass along the rows.
