Holy Week and Easter at Morningside, 2023

Holy Week and Easter: 3^rd – 9^th April 2023

The joint Holy Week services with Greenbank Parish Church will be held, this year, in Morningside Parish Church. We will be following the story of Jesus’ last days in the Gospel of John.

Services will be held at 7.30pm. Monday to Wednesday the congregation will be seated in the chancel area. On Thursday to Saturday the congregation will be seated in the nave.

On Maundy Thursday there will be communion as part of the service.

On Good Friday there will be choral input from the choirs of Morningside and Greenbank who will sing an introit and anthem during the service.

On Holy Saturday there will be a service of readings and music. A time of quiet reflection and anticipation.

Easter Sunday is 9^th April.

On Easter day there is no 9.30am service in the Cluny Hall. We traditionally have one gathered congregational service at 10.30am in the Church, where the theme will be, An Everlasting Love. Children and young people meet in Church as usual before going through to the Brid Hall.

Easter refreshments will be served in the St Matthew Hall after the service.
